I’m going to start a fight and say they are called spring onions. Not scallions, not green onions.

On another topic. It’s rocket, not arugula… and don’t get me started on egg plants

WTF these are barely chopped at all

  7. Those are not called scallions in Australia fyi. They would be referred to as green onions or spring onions. A scallion here would be what is referred to as an eschalot elsewhere.

For anyone playing along in Australia, the ones on the left are spring onions.

And chive blossoms (the flower of the chive plant) are the unspoken and underrated GOAT of all the alliums. Floral green onion flavor without the harshness. I’ve heard of fried chive flowers and I would PUNCH A BABY try it.
